Burlington Notre Dame School

Congratulations to Notre Dame speech students on
their most recent accolades! Twelve of 14 entries
at the state individual events contest on March 11
at North Scott of Eldridge received “I” (“superior”)
ratings. Students earning a “I” rating in one or more
entries were Adrian Benson, Brayden Butler,
Nathan Edwards, Logan Kamrath, Lauren Krieger,
Anneliese Lachnitt, Eva Salvador, Yazmin Sorensen,
Macy Tripp, and Christianna Ziegler. In addition,
“All-State” honors were awarded to Eva Salvador in
poetry and Brayden Bowers for storytelling and
after dinner speaking. Eva and Brayden will be
performing their selections at the All-State Festival
on Monday, March 28, and the University of
Northern Iowa.
Brayden Butler also placed first in the local level of
the Optimist Club Oratorical Contest and will
advance to regional competition on April 1.
