Mary Catherine Kelly Obituary
Mary C. Stevens Kelly, 81, of Burlington, died Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born December 19, 1942, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Owen Andrew and Madelyn Helen Stevens. She married Charles Kelly on July 11, 2009 in Burlington.
Mary served as executive assistant for Deloitte in Los Angeles, California until her retirement in 2003. After her retirement she co-owned the Paddlewheel Lounge.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Kelly of Burlington; two daughters, Daria (Tony) Good of Burlington, Dina (Greg) Bickell of St. Augustine, Florida; two sons, Dunker (Josie) Lietsch and Troy (Cora) Lietsch both of Burlington; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Poggemiller of Burlington and Patricia Reed of North Liberty, Iowa; brother Joe Stevens of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Patrick Joseph Lietsch, sister Alice Corso and brothers Thomas Stevens, Stanley Stevens and Owen Stevens Jr.
The Memorial Mass for Mary will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13th at St. John Catholic Church of Divine Mercy Parish. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the Catfish Bend Convention and Event Center from Noon until 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
