Prep softball: 13 area players earn all-state accolades
West Burlington-Notre Dame coach David Oleson wasn’t sure what to expect after losing all-state pitcher Lauren Summers and a talented senior class to graduation. The
team had a strong season and advanced to regional finals.
CLASS 3A
WB-ND landed two players on the all-state teams.
Senior Logan Kelley was named to the first team for WB-ND. She moved from catcher to shortstop, where she hit .481. She hit 20 doubles, two triples and slugged seven home runs. She scored 42 runs and drove in 42 runs.
Senior second baseman Lauren Krieger was named to the third team. She hit .462 with seven doubles and two home runs, scored 29 runs and drove in 21 runs.
