Dorothy Hoffman, 95, of Burlington, died July 16, 2024 at Addington Place.

Born May 24, 1929 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Alfred and Nellie (Hand) Shofe. Dorothy graduated from Burlington High School. She married Warren Hoffman on October 11, 1947. They were married 61 years until his death on October 17, 2008. Dorothy was a member of Divine Mercy Parish.

Dorothy was one of the founders of Keystone Products, she was a broker and realtor for Riverfront Realty and she owned Dee-Mer Interior Decorating. Dorothy loved her family and cooking for them. She enjoyed going on the annual Christmas shopping trips with her daughters, daughter-in-law and granddaughters. She loved going to Christmas Mass with the whole family. Dorothy like to play bridge with her friends, video poker, and go dancing in her younger days. She was always giving to others.

Survivors include her children Mike Hoffman of Burlington, Dan (Joyce) Hoffman of West Burlington, Kathy Zimmer of Sioux City and Suzanne (Rob) Russell of Burlington; 10 grandchildren Andrea Kindorf, Meredith VanSyckle, Marcie Holzwarth, Robbie Zimmer, Traci Hoffman, Tim Hoffman, J.D. Hoffman, Christina Russell, Austin Russell, Zach Russell and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Warren, her parents, brother Dick Shofe, sister Katherine Masters, granddaughter Stacie Zimmer.
